    I wasn’t there for the conversation regarding a digital rideboard, but it sounds kind of like the attached “smart jitney” proposal.

    (Note that I think the mass transit section of that document is not well grounded, but the proposal itself is worth a look. Big city transit systems carry significant mode share, a point that is dismissed without data or evidence in the article, and further support mixed-use environments where walking and biking is a bigger part of the mix. In Portland Oregon, with its light rail network, per capita vehicle miles traveled per day are about 20, compared with 31 in Raleigh-Durham.)
