musicSPARK meeting 6/24/09
Hi everyone,
Last week’s meeting was a bit sparse, but I think we got some concrete ideas moving. Christopher already had some contacts with local venues, and has agreed to get together a list of contacts for all the venues that we’re hoping to approach for involvement in musicSpark.
Otherwise, our main goal was to put together a pitch for when we get the venues together for a meeting. I’m attaching the brief, quickly thrown together version of how we’ll approach the venues. This is a work in progress, so feel free to give input/throw out ideas.
Another meeting this Wednesday from 6-7 at Humble Pie. From here we’ll work to have a meeting with the venues over the next week or two, so we don’t miss their booking window. After that, I think we can probably scale back on meetings to once every two weeks until we get closer to SPARKcon.
One last thing: please promote the musicSpark call for work! Post it to facebook, tweet it, put up flyers, tell your friends/favorite local bands, etc
